Hall of Fame ponies

To qualify for the Hall of Fame, you must garner points from show competitions. Until 1989, you needed 100 points to become a member of the Hall of Fame, that number was reduced to 70 points. To qualify for the Hall of Fame you must also have won 5 Grand Championships (for Halter) or 5 Stake Championships (for Performance). Each show must be approved by the ACSP/AMHR, and the rating class of the show will help to determine how many points each place is worth. You get more points for winning first, than second, etc. and you get more points for each pony in the class, for example if you win a class of only 2 ponies, you get fewer points than winning a class of 8 or 9.

There are 3 primary divisions, Modern(M) , Classic(C), and Miniture(AMHR), as well as the separate categories within each division, Halter(H) and Performance(P).

A Mare, after producing TWO Hall of Fame offspring, is designated as Superoir Dam. A Stallion, after he has six Hall of Fame offspring, is designated as a Superior Sire.
