Lot 1 - Michigan's Rodman   SOLD $750                                                                       145869A

Bay 10 year old Gelding

Sire - Michigan's Hart   Breaker

Dam - Michigan's Zanadu

Rodman has been shown since a 3 year old; usually as a modern roadster pony by my daughter and grandson.  Last year he was shown as a modern pleasure pony by my granddaughter.  He is a full brother to Michigan's Maverick that has done real well as a Classic for his new owner (page 100 Oct 2007 Journal)  Rodman did a lot of winning for us. He is "A" papered and can show in any division. Rodman's height is 43 3/4" now with a shoe and pad on him.

Lot 2 - Michigan's Mary Magdalene   SOLD $3000                                                       282723T/157660A

Gray Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Man of Steel (HOF)

Dam - Michigan's Mother Theresa (HOF)

Mary has siblings that have shown AMHR and have done very well.  Her dam is a sister to D & S (Michigan's) Mona Mia (Dale Lutke did own) and Silver Bit that Ed McCarthy owned and showed and Michigan's Instant Reply, our herd sire, but her pedigree will not sell her, it is her looks that will.  She is the most heads up Miniature I have raised.  Her head is always up and her topline is so nice and flat.  In a group this is the one your eye is drawn to. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 3 - Michigan's Non-Traditional Voter   SOLD $3500                                                287310T/157680A

Gray Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Man of Steel (HOF)

Dam - Michigan's Symbol of Freedom (HOF)

Voter's dam Symbol of Freedom has produced 3 real nice 37" AMHR show ponies -- Michigan's Chad, who last year was the Over Junior Champion at AMHR Nationals; Michigan's Independent Voter, who did lots of winning for Snowberry Farm and produced a filly that did well and Michigan's Voter with Class that Bruce Abbott has been showing, check his website.  Plus one black and white stud that did a lot of winning driving classes and sired some nice horses.  This Symbol daughter is non-traditional because first she is a grey pinto and second she is smaller.  Symbol of Freedom is sired by Michigan's Action Jackson, which makes Symbol a half sister to Michigan's Liberty Jack, who was the Classic Pony of the Year in 2006. She is real sharp with a nice head and good throat latch and her neck comes off her right -- she should be nice. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 4 - Michigan's Anna Dew      SOLD $6000                                                               287315T/157682A

Black Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - HP Jericho's New Image

Dam - Michigan's Will Dew

Anna Dew is special and is a beautifully marked black and white with real small fine bone also nice small ears and head.  She is not wild, so it may take a second or 2 for her to show her quality off, but she has the quality.  Anna Dew is a maternal sister to Kilbro's Willie Do, who we showed to 6 Congress Grands in the under modern stud division.  I have 2 full siters of Anna in my herd; one is Michigan's Doing It Right is the dam of Lot 8, who won first Stud Foal Under 30" at 2007 Miniature Nationals (29 were shown).  I would like to keep this one and if she does not show well for you -- bring her back. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 5 - Michigan's True Blue    SOLD $3200                                                                287303T/157673A

Gray Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Instant Replay

Dam - Michigan's Crystal Blue

True Blue's maternal sisters include Michigan's Blue Print to Success, she is HOF, and Michigan's Bluelight Special, also HOF.  One of True Blue's sisters is Michigan's Blue Plate Special the 2007 Champion Amateur Senior Mare.  Plus Blue Plate's foals have been winning -- McCarthy's Aristocrate won 2007 AMHR Futurity Stud Foal (page 14 Jan 2008 Journal)  A second True Blue sister has also been producing winners:   Michigan's Bluelight Special 2007 Filly Foal, McCarthy's Heiress was the Champion Futurity over Mare (page 141 Jan 2008 Journal)   Two more sisters showed this year -- Michigan's Born to be Blue, check March 2008 Journal page 73.  She had a good year for Joe Heirs of New Jersey; Michigan's Blue No More showed in the Foundation Division and had a great year for Jeannne McClanahan and Larry Parnell showed her and she was second in Futurity Yearling Mare Class at Congress.  I think True Blue is the best of Blue Crystal's colts but the others have been very good. Sustained in 2008 Classic Futurity. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 6 - Michigan's Pretty Package     SOLD $2000                                                      287304T/157674A

Bay Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - HP Jericho's New Image

Dam - Michigan's Platinum Peso

Peso is a daughter of Michigan's Little April.  I think April is best producing AMHR mare out there.   Peso in linebred Michigan's Midget Mike and this pretty package is sired by my black and white horse.  Pretty Package has a nice head, neck, leg on each corner and good croup (rear end).  The Jericho spots like Michigan's Heir to the Throne and Michigan's Queen Mom  have been winning in harness and the gray line like Michigan's Little Sharp Image and Michigan's Chad have been winning in hand.  With this mare you have a combination of the two in a very "pretty package". Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 7 - Michigan's White Chocolate  SOLD $2750                                                     287309T/157677A

Black Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - HP Jericho's New Image

Dam - Michigan's Sugar Cube

Chocolate is a full sister to Michigan's Kiss of Hershey, the Grand Champion Under Mare at 2003 AMHR Nationals.  Kiss produced McCarthy's Cookies and Cream, the Futurity Champion 2 year old Stallion (page 143 Jan 2008 Journal)   Chocolate is also maternal sister to Michigan's Sugar Baby.  Sugar is dam of McCarthy's Carmella, Futurity Champion 3 year old Stallion (Pages 145 & 149 Jan 2008 Journal) and also the dam of McCarthy's Damn Yankee, Second place 30" and Under Colt at AMHR Nationals.  These Sugar Cube daughters do well as brood mares and that is why I have 2 in my herd.  Another full sister, Michigan's Sweet Chocolate, has won her HOF.  Sugar Cube has 2 studs showing, Michigan's Nestle's Quick, being shown by Pick Pocket Farms for Kay Marschel and Michigan's M & M, the Reserve Over Junior Champion at 2007 AMHR Nationals for Dunn and McIntyre.  White Chocolate is not as good as some of her sisters, but the breeding is the same and the next generation keeps winning. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 8 - Michigan's Mr. Right      SOLD $1000                                                          282722T/157669A

Gray Pinto Yearling Stallion

Sire - Michigan's Man of Steel (HOF)

Dam - Michigan's Doing It Right (a full sister to Lot 4)

Mr. Right was Champion Stallion Foal 28" - 30" at 2007 AMHR Nationals out of 29 shown.  The Top Ten came from different states .  Mr Right is real nice headed with a thin hooky neck (because of that neck he really shows well).  His dam is a full sister to Lot 4. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 9 - Michigan's Bright Spot      SOLD $1050                                                     282875T/157672A

Gray Yearling Stallion

Sire - Michigan's Man of Steel (HOF)

Dam - Michigan's Spotlight

This dam, Spotlight, is young and her last year's colt was shown as a colt and did OK.  Spotlight is out of Michigan's King's Mom, who is a maternal sister to Michigan's Heir to the Throne and Michigan's Queen's Mom. I hate to sell 2 nice double registered studs in the Sale, but I do not know which is better.  Lot 8 did better in showing last fall, but Bright Spot may be as good if not better.  Both are nice show and breeding stud prospects. Spot has Michigan's King Pin in his pedigree and King Pin is a Modern that we showed  -- check our web page under Herd Sires. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

Lot 10 - Michigan's Hurricane Floyd   SOLD $900                                             282877T/157671A

Gray Yearling Gelding

Sire - Michigan's Instant Replay

Dam - Michigan's Chocolate Swirl

Chocolate Swirl has had only a few foals and two of them--Michigan's Hurricane Andrew and Michigan's Hurricane Alice have been shown and Alice has done very well. This colt should be a good show gelding and also drive well. Sustained in 2008 Classic Futurity. Sustained in 2008 AMHR Futurity.

.

Lot 11- Michigan's Never on Sundae    SOLD $1700                                            157670A

Sorrel Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Wild Horse

Dam - Michigan's Royal Sunday

Royal Sunday is a Michigan's King Pin daughter out of Royal Manor Sunday Surprise and both of these ponies won Grand Championships at the Shetland Congress; and both have EXTREME motion.  I kept a 3/4 sister to Never on Sundae for my broodmare herd and plan on showing her yearling stud this year.  A 3/4 brother to Never of Sundae, Michigan's Double Sundae has been winning for the McCreedy sisters.  Michigan's Black Walnut Sundae sold in 2003 Sale to Kay Marschel of TX and was a great moving mare.  Never on Sundae is nice headed and very pretty "A" papered and could show Classic, Modern Pleasure and Modern. Sustained in 2008 Modern Futurity.

Lot 12 - J & S Estates Trendy Lady   SOLD $350                                               157683B

Bay Yearling Mare

Sire - Trouble With a TE

Dam - Georgetown's Trend Setter

This mare is bigger than our Michigan bred ponies, but most of ours stay under 44" and she will not -- should move -- real nice head and nicely put together mare -- a roadster prospect.

Lot 13 - Michigan's Trimmed in White     SOLD $1700                                         157678A

Black and White leggy Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Wild Horse

Dam - Michigan's Brassy Lass

This mare is marked to die for--black with 4 white stockings and blaze--white tail with small spot on tail head.   She is different.  Her dam is a bay sister to Michigan's Winning Style, but her dam was black.  Her sire, Michigan's Wild Horse, is solid bay, but his dam is spotted--so mare gets spots from a granddam and is black from a granddam.  This mare will be like 45" tall real pretty and showy type and you sure will notice her.   She should move and could show Modern Pleasure or classic. Sustained in 2008 Modern Futurity.

Lot 14 - Michigan's Mistaken Identity    SOLD $1300                                              ASPR 1377

Gray Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Instant Replay

Dam - Hackney mare

This mare I thought was going to have a late July foal from my son's Hackney stud, however, she had a June colt sired by my miniature stud.  She is sharp with pretty head.  The Show Pony division is growing and I know some groups are breeding Hackneys to Miniatures--so here is one.

Lot 15 - Michigan's Win Advisory      SOLD $1750                                                  157665A

.

Lot 16 - Michigan's Mele Aloha       SOLD $1000                                               157684A

Bay Pinto Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Delaware Dan

Dam - Red Rock's Kid's Sonnet

Full sister to Michigan's Nashville Bound, but this mare is real small - real fine boned and nice mare  She is somewhat nervous now, but after some training should show off her good qualities which are many. Sustained in 2008 Classic Futurity.

Red Chestnut Yearling Mare

Sire - Michigan's Delaware Dan

Dam - Red Rock Bullseye Sparkle

Sparkle is the dam of China Doll, Family Crystal, Porcelain Figurine and all were shown and I think 2 of her offspring have been hardshipped into AMHR and Crystal Lite is not real big -- fine boned.  Nice mare and looks a lot like the mare McCreedy showed last year. Sustained in 2008 Classic Futurity.

Dam - Michigan's Animated Animal

Animal is a full sister to Michigan's Wild Horse and the Sensation mare I showed this year (she won the Futurity 3 year old Roadster Class) and is small enough to be hardshipped into AMHR.  Hanna's only other sibling is Animated Texan, who is coming out in harness in 2008 in AMHR.   This mare looked real sharp as a colt and is so-so now--if she looks like she did she will be very good Classic show mare or Foundation mare.

Lot 26 - Willowlawn's Maverick     SOLD $950                                         150448A

Bay 6 year old Gelding

Jim Lyme and his grandson have been showing this pony.  I think he is in HOF. We will break him to drive and maybe ride -- I think he would make a good kid's pony.  I know he is a good modern or modern pleasure show pony.

This mare is a real good producer and her fillies have sold well:  Michigan's Sparkling Crystal $2,500; Michigan's Porcelain Figurine $3,000; Michigan's Family Crystal $1,900; Michigan's Red Crystal $900 and Michigan's Misty Marble $700.  Her 12 colts averaged $1,030.  I need to sell a few broodmares to make room for some younger Hart Breaker daughters and this one is the best Red Rock mare to handle (some are not broke to handle). Michigan's Family Crystal has been hardshipped into AMHR and this year's colt, Lot 17, is rather small.  Sparkle is bred back for 2008 foal sired by Michigan's Delaware Dan.   Check Sparkle's pedigree on the top side is Queen Ann's Jet and Rip's Little Masterpiece and on the bottom Queen Ann's Jet and Early Wynn and farther back is Ferwood's Frisco Pete.  I have sold a total of $12,360 worth of colts out of Sparkle - all at public auction.    This mare is like 42 3/4" tall and shows in under class.  She could be shown but with that pedigree she will make an exceptional broodmare.

Bay 3 year old Grade Hackney Gelding

Lot 37 - Rudy         SOLD $1400                                                                      Grade

Gray 5 year old grade Shetland Gelding

Rudy rides real well and is not nervous and kids can play with him and be safe playing with him.  He catches easily.  Rudy is like 41" tall, but heavy boned and blocky type, so a larger person could ride him.  He drives nice and has been driven on roads with cars going by him.  We did not raise this one and he is not as pretty as ours, but he is the best broke Kids pony in the Sale.

Lot 38 -  Michigan's Paul Eddie      SOLD $300                                       Pending ASPR

Bay 5 year old Hackney Gelding

ASPR (show pony) papers have been sent in.  This 48" gelding could be good show pony.  He is quiet and tame and would also make kids pony or carriage horse.  He will be shod and can really move and look good doing it; as a roadster pony or harness pony.  Check video of him driving when at the pre-sale.   I did not think he was this good.
